The Food Industry Celebrates Family Meals Month
The food industry is rallying around National Family Meals Month™. Here are some of the MANY activities we’ve seen encouraging families to make the most of their time around the table.

There are a record number of female candidates across the aisle in both the House and Senate who are gearing up for election.
Embrace Education as a Cornerstone of Social Justice
Our essential industry has a responsibility to ensure that our practices foster economic opportunity and racial equity. We need equitable programs that catalyze a stronger, more sustainable future for everyone. One program that meets this criteria is the FMI-endorsed Retail Management Certificate (RMC), led by the Western Association of Food Chains (WAFC).
Why Do Shoppers “Shop Around?”
What is it that drives grocery shoppers to “shop around?” For many grocery shoppers it is private or store brands. Private brands, according to Trends, are a key driver of perceptions that the store meets a shopper’s needs. Grocery stores that deliver strong private brands are also seen as having great product selection and variety, which is a top driver of satisfaction.
So, How Does America Feel about All These Family Meals?
COVID-19 has certainly changed our approach to family meals and perhaps reshaped our attitude about preparing them, but has it affected the benefits and how we perceive them? We wanted to know, so the FMI Foundation funded research to find out and here is what we learned.
