Photo Friday: Food Waste Start-Up Challenger's Winning Pitch to the Summit Attendees
Full Cycle Bioplastics joined top innovators among food waste prevention, food donation and food waste recycling companies at the FMI/GMA Global Sustainability Summit this week and competed in a business plan-pitch style event. Andrew Falcon (right) represented the winning group of the Food Waste Start-Up Challenge, Full Cycle Bioplastics. The company turns organic waste into a fully biodegradable plastic and repurposes the outputs into consumer products. Their finished products even break down in the ocean! Competitors had three minutes to pitch a panel of experts and the full conference audience, followed by a line of questioning from the panel. Mondelez sponsored the challenge.
