As a network of over 225 locally owned businesses, OMEGA actively promotes cooperation, advocates for favorable legislation, and provides education and resources to its members. With over 50,000 employees, OMEGA members significantly contribute to the state’s economy, generating more than 10% of all state taxes and supporting local communities through scholarships, charitable donations, and civic involvement.

Your Essential Connection in West Virginia

OMEGA offers three types of membership: Convenience Store Members, Petroleum Marketer Members, and Grocer Members, all of which play a vital role in providing fuel, food, and essentials across West Virginia. As a liaison with state and national agencies, OMEGA works closely with organizations like NACS, PMAA, FMI, and the N.G.A. to advocate on behalf of its members.

We keep members informed through newsletters, legislative updates, an online resource hub, and educational seminars. Additional member benefits include access to the Encova Workers’ Compensation Discount Program and participation in our annual Trade Expo and fundraising efforts for children’s charities. OMEGA is here to support, advocate, and enhance the success of our industry members.

We are happy to announce that our testing partner, <a href="https://www.prometric.com/">Prometric</a>, has introduced a remote assessment solution called <a href="https://www.prometric.com/proproctorcandidate">ProProctor™</a> to meet the certification exam needs of our customers any time, any place.  ProProctor leverages innovative remote learning technologies and an experienced proctoring staff to provide convenient and practical access to the accredited <a href="http://www.foodprotect.org/food-protection-manager-certification/#:~:text=The%20Conference%20for%20Food%20Protection,certification%20organizations%20meet%20these%20standards">Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) exam</a>. This exam is important because the <a href="https://www.fda.gov/media/110822/download">2017 FDA Food Code</a> was updated to assert that the Person In Charge (PIC) shall obtain a CFPM credential (for reference, please see food code section 2-102.12(A)). The ProProctor solution is based on the same delivery technology used in their global test center network, ensuring a consistent experience for your trainees. <a href="https://www.prometric.com/proproctorcandidate">Remote testing</a> offers you and your staff a safe and convenient alternative to the traditional test center experience. Tests can be taken anywhere there is a PC or laptop, webcam and internet access.  In fact, with ProProctor and the <a href="https://www.fmi.org/safemark/manager-training">SafeMark training courses</a>, your staff can be completely trained and certified on foundational food safety procedures without having to leave their home or place of work.
