Your Essential Connection in West Virginia

OMEGA offers three types of membership: Convenience Store Members, Petroleum Marketer Members, and Grocer Members, all of which play a vital role in providing fuel, food, and essentials across West Virginia. As a liaison with state and national agencies, OMEGA works closely with organizations like NACS, PMAA, FMI, and the N.G.A. to advocate on behalf of its members.

We keep members informed through newsletters, legislative updates, an online resource hub, and educational seminars. Additional member benefits include access to the Encova Workers’ Compensation Discount Program and participation in our annual Trade Expo and fundraising efforts for children’s charities. OMEGA is here to support, advocate, and enhance the success of our industry members.

At the FMI Foundation, we have our own version of the special plate—the Gold Plate Awards. Since 2013, we’ve been using the Gold Plate Awards to highlight the outstanding programs implemented by the food industry to encourage family meals. The award recognizes outstanding programs that food retailers and suppliers have implemented to encourage families to share more meals, together at home, more often.

When my brother and I were growing up we had a special plate—it was red, larger than our normal plates and had phrases like “You Rock” or “You’re Special” around the rim. If you had done something superior, really exemplary, Mom broke out the special plate for you at a family meal. It might have been for getting straight A’s, or my Dad getting a professional recognition. Sometimes she would bring out the special plate for friends visiting with exciting news or for recognizing the good deeds a family member did. Regardless of the reason, the special plate always had the desired effect—it showcased the achievements of my family and made each of us feel extra appreciated.

At the FMI Foundation, we have our own version of the special plate—the Gold Plate Awards.
