The 2010 Little Red Stocking Campaign has again partnered with the OM&GA members to help make a difference in the lives of West Virginia’s children. This year the Go Mart, One Stop and the Roc’s convenience stores will be selling Little Red Stockings beginning the day after Thanksgiving until the campaign ends on Christmas Eve. The stockings sell for $1.00 each and are proudly displayed throughout the stores. Last year the Go Mart and One Stop stores combined raised nearly $35,000 to help children located in the communities where the stockings are sold. In years past children would collect pennies and bring them to the local schools for the principal to take the collection to the nearest orphanage to help homeless children. The tradition of giving to those less fortunate lives on today through the Children’s Home Society’s Little Red Stocking Campaign.
