Today OMEGA launched our fund-raising effort for the Make A Wish Foundation at the State Capitol. This was a great event and we were very fortunate to have great press coverage, including satellite interviews to media outlets throughout the state.

As you know, OMEGA has partnered with the Make A Wish Foundation of West Virginia to raise funds to provide hope and strength to children living with life-threatening conditions.  Our goal is to raise funds to fulfill these children's wishes and hopefully put a smile on their faces.

We were fortunate to have with us this morning Mary Rader and her 14 year-old son  J. R., along with his "Wish Come True" Herbie - a Harlequin Macaw bird who speaks and performs tricks! J. R. received Herbie when he was very ill at a young age.  J. R. began suffering from small strokes at the age of 12 due a torn artery in his neck.  J. R. has made a full recovery from his illness, but Herbie is now a part of their family and community.  For those on hand, this was a great way to get pumped up for our star selling campaign during the month of August!

The Make A Wish Foundation of West Virginia is a wonderful organization has provided more than 1500 wishes to kids throughout the state since 1991.  The average cost of a wish is $3,400.
