OMEGA & Make-A-Wish Foundation® to Launch Month-Long Campaign to Help Children in Need |

The West Virginia Oil Marketers and Grocers Association (OMEGA), in partnership with the West Virginia chapters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, will launch a month-long campaign to raise funds to grant the wishes of West Virginia children with life-threatening medical conditions at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008 in the lower Rotunda of the State Capitol Building in Charleston. Media are encouraged to attend.
The West Virginia Oil Marketers and Grocers Association (OMEGA), in partnership with the West Virginia chapters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, will launch a month-long campaign to raise funds to grant the wishes of West Virginia children with life-threatening medical conditions at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 28, 2008 in the lower Rotunda of the State Capitol Building in Charleston. Media are encouraged to attend.Wish child J.R. Rader, who suffered a series of small strokes as a result of a torn artery in his neck when he was twelve, will be on hand to speak about his Make-A-Wish® experience and to show off his wish – a tropical Macaw bird which can speak and perform tricks. Additionally, representatives from OMEGA, Make-A-Wish Foundation and state legislators will participate in the event.The OMEGA / Make-A-Wish® campaign will sell wish stars through OMEGA member convenience and grocery stores throughout the state during the month of August. All proceeds will go towards funding wishes for area children.
The West Virginia Oil Marketers & Grocers Association represents the state’s petroleum marketers, convenience stores and independent grocers.
